One Year Anniversary

 

In July, I celebrated my first year as a practitioner. It was a quiet celebration of meditation. I am so grateful to be in service to everyone at the spiritual center in Riverside and to all those in service and to the ministers Rev. Lee and Rev. Jerry. It as been an awesome journey so far and I look to do more.

Each day is a new journey and a new excitement.
Today I was helping a family with an older deaf child with visiting our Youth and Family Village for the 1st time. The whole family enjoyed their first visit to our center and will return again. Such blessings everyday…

Make the Grade

Here is an opportunity for some young adult or child. So if you know someone who is under 19 that would benefit from some free tutoring have them look into this option. Contact Rev. Jerry Hobby at the Riverside Community Center for Spiritual Living for more information. The program is in July each year.

A Tutoring Program

A Free Tutoring Program for the Community

Last year’s summer teen program included writing essays for scholarships. This paid off big for Dirk Plunkett, a Make The Grade participant and student at Ramona High School. He said this exercise made him comfortable writing and supported him in seizing the moment when the opportunity arose to apply for a scholarship and write an essay during the school year. His efforts paid off with him receiving a preparatory scholarship from HMC Architects. Only two students in the school received the award. Dirk will start 11 grade this fall.

An Alternative to Summer School and It Is Free

Make The Grade Tutoring Program is back and being offered “Free” to the entire community for the forth year. It is scheduled to begin July 5th at the Riverside Community Center for Spiritual  Living 3891 Ridge Road Riverside California. The program will focus on strengthening the student’s reading, language arts, and math skills. The tutoring program is open to youth between the ages of 5 years old and 17 years old. Youth are placed in age appropriate groups which include grade school, middle school, and high school.

The tutoring team will meet with the students twice a week for the entire month of July on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

A Parent Orientation and Registration is also scheduled Saturday, June 16th & 30th from 10:00 am. – 11:30 a.m. at the center along with a special Self –Esteem Workshop for the youth. Interested parties can call (951) 683-2343 ext. 203 for more information or to register students in the program.

Then say it three times with a strong clear voice (even if it’s in your mind). Say it today whenever you need a boost, and watch as it clears a path for your feet…

This Thing Called You

Hi all,

I am the teaching assistant for the new class, This Thing Called You. Wow, what a wonderful class. Rev. Lee is the teacher and she is awesome as always.

We are learning so much and more.

Practitioner Larry Hobby presents a workshop on discovering “The Secret” to attracting health, abundance, loving relationships, and a peaceful life. You will learn about the power of your “word” and how to create a life of success through the use of your word and thought patterns. In the present moment…

It may seem a bit backwards for some, but the first step one might take towards rearranging the present circumstances of their life is to stop dwelling upon the present circumstances of their life.
